Gar has been representing clients at trial in federal and state courts for over 25 years. His trial and appellate experience includes extensive experience litigating complex civil and white-collar criminal cases before juries. During his tenure as an Assistant State’s Attorney in an Economic Crimes unit, he prosecuted a variety of complex cases, including those involving fraud, employee theft, intellectual property theft, identity theft, fiduciary embezzlement, computer crime, arson for profit, and police misconduct.
Since entering private practice, Gar has represented individuals and businesses in a wide array of cases including commercial disputes; title defense and prosecution; environmental defense; trademark, trade dress and intellectual property; federal criminal defense (including fraud and environmental crime); False Claims Act claims (defense and relator); and bank and professional liability.
