A dedicated and detail-oriented professional, Desta’nae brings a strong academic foundation and a passion for service to every role. As a first-generation college graduate, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a focus in Child Development from University of Maryland, Baltimore County, graduating Cum Laude in recognition of her academic excellence. She also holds two associate degrees from Howard Community College in Criminal Justice and General Studies, where she likewise graduated Cum Laude, marking significant milestones in her journey as a first-generation student.

She currently serves as an Intake Specialist, where she is often the first point of contact for prospective clients. In this role, she conducts detailed intake calls, gathers critical information, and ensures each individual feels heard, supported, and guided through the initial stages of the legal process. Her strong communication skills, empathy, and attention to detail allow her to create a positive and seamless client experience from the very first interaction.

She gained valuable non-profit experience as an intern with the National Minority Women in Transportation Association, Inc., where she helped coordinate events, contributed to committee initiatives, and collaborated with leadership to advance the organization’s mission. Through this experience, she developed strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills while supporting impactful programs and initiatives.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys attending electronic dance music (EDM) festivals and live shows, skiing, and participating in retreat-style festivals that encourage reconnection with nature. She also enjoys trying new experiences and embracing opportunities for personal growth. As a first-generation professional, she is now beginning her journey toward becoming an attorney, continuing her commitment to growth, advocacy, and making a meaningful impact.
